Pororó was born in 2014 in the Afro Dominican neighborhood of Villa Mella in northern Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, where Arnold Martínez (guitarist, singer, and songwriter) put lyrics and music together to the band’s first songs embracing the local clash of cultures and sounds.
